We have had a rough week here! Mommy loves her new car and after driving it to work and back for a little over a week she got rear-ended on her way to work! She was so upset that she was crying and saying “why cant I keep a new car nice, ever?”. Of course this was not her fault as she was waiting patiently behind a car turning left (instead of breaking the law and going around them on the right shoulder)!
The giant Ford F-250 (towing a trailer of tires) was trying to stop but we thinks the trailer didn’t have working brakes and pushed him into our car.
Here is the damage to her car.
It’s not too bad but we are lucky that she had added it to her insurance policy the day before. Plus the truck was trying to stop and mommy pushed on her brakes real hard so she wouldn’t hit the car in front of her. She knew that would mean it would be totaled and we spent many days and nights online looking for a car she would really like!
And the guy that hit her was insured and super-nice and even hugged her to calm her down as she was shaking with adrenaline. He also called her an hour or so later to see if she was alright. P.s. Mommy checked to see if he had a wedding ring on his finger because he was so nice and darn it he did. No romance today. Although it can pop up unexpectedly for older gals like Mommy!
Have a great weekend everybody! We will get this worked out ok! Luvz, Patzy
So sorry Miss Juliea for the mishap…so glad it wasn’t worse. I’m sure Patzy could see your sadness too. As my friend, David, always used to say…”This too shall pass.”. Your little Bumblebee car is as cute as ever….and will give you many, many safe miles from now on.

Thank you. She is a good car and held up well when the giant pickup truck with trailer ran into her. And the driver even called me later that day to ask if I was ok! He was very nice and I’m sure everything will work out.

Thank you so much Dennis. Luckily mommy had added this car to her insurance policy just the day before.
Plus, mommy wasn’t hurt and the car is drive-able now and is fixable. Thank you for you concern!

Yes, the insurance company is working on it now. I’m sure mommy will be happy again in no time. Nobody likes a frowny face on the back of their car like it is now!

It isn’t quite brand-new but it is new to her! It’s a 2014 with not many miles on it and looks brand new. She doesn’t believe in buying a brand new car because they depreciate so much the first year. But it’s still a luxury to buy a 4 year old car with low miles and looks brand new!
Luckily she put it on her insurance the day before the accident so everything is covered. She’s just waiting to get an appointment to get it fixed. It’s totally drivable though. But she is still saying “why me”. You know the feeling and it will pass.

It wasn’t totaled. Mommy was pushing on the brakes hard so she wouldn’t hit the car in front of. Because if she had it would’ve been totaled. Sorry for the misunderstanding. Although we are still waiting for the insurance company to let us know but we are pretty sure it’s fixable. Back end = mostly fixable. If it would’ve been back and front end = most likely totaled.
Your good wishes should make it so it isn’t totaled. Mommy really likes this car. She is getting an average of 37-38 mikes per gallon! Woo hoo on saving green papers!

No, she’s ok physically. Just a little upset about the set back but she has decided to look at the bright side, not the negative. And she is happier for it! Thank you for thinking about her though.
