Mommy tells me that usually we have a lot of booms and fireworks in our city neighborhood this time of year. But so far we haven’t heard any! The neighborhood is changing and there are fewer older kids around and more little kids with their families. Maybe tonight we will hear and see some. Mommy will sit with me tonight to watch out the front window. I don’t really know what to expect since I wasn’t borned yet last July 4th. So for now I am just taking it easy.
I will check things out as they happen or if they happen.
Until then it is a perfect day to nap. We will see what happens when it gets dark!
Happy Birthday America!

Happy Independence Day to you too! It is set to remind all if us what hard work it took to give us, everyone of us our freedoms that we have in our countries. Be thankful for the freedoms that we have. Lots of other places in this world have to live in pretty oppressive surroundings with not a lot of hope to escape that. We truly are lucky in the USA even when we think we are not!

We didn’t have hardly any but my mommy says usually we do. Our neighborhood has been changing the last couple of years with lots of new homes replacing older small homes. We suspect the new young families all went downtown to watch the big fireworks shows instead of doing their own at home.

Mommy stayed home with me and there wasn’t much to see except in the far off distance. She says we usually have a lot of fireworks going off on every corner. Even the big illegal ones. But my neighborhood is changing and they are tearing down small older homes and putting two story new ones in. At least 1/2 the homes are new now. So mommy thinks those folks all went downtown to watch the big ones over the river.

Hope you both had a great 4th of July with little , if any, disturbances!
Tell your Mama , thank you for the compliments on our Mama’s writing. It made our Mama feel special that your Mama enjoyed the story as much as she did 🙂

We really liked that story and would like to read more of your mama’s writing. My mommy reads a lot and listens to a lot of audiobooks and she is amazed at how a good book uses so much symbolism to describe things. Your mamma does that.
My mommy wishes she would have gone to college for writing as she is so into it. But I tell her it’s not too late, no matter how old she is!

My mommy reads and listens to audiobooks almost two hours a day while she is driving and really enjoys good writing. I think she would like to take a few writing classes in her old age to be as good as your mama. Your mama really does write as good as a best-selling novelist.

Hey there Patzy, hope your 4th wasn’t too noisy. It was here, as there were a bunch of booms set off nearby by many of our neighbors. Enjoy the rest of your weekend!

Not too noisy at all. My city neighborhood has changed to almost all new houses and I guess the families all went off to watch the big boomers.
