Cold, cold, cold

After the beautiful week we had last weekend, all of a sudden we are absolutely freezing. Even though it’s not raining hard, it is a stinging icy rain. The roads aren’t getting icy yet but the might tonight. We would rather have sweet, silent snow! Mommy has to drive an hour to work every day and an hour back and the roads are very hilly. Definitely not flat!Let us pray for no snow yet and for the ice-man to go away!

This is my life with my new sweetie pie of a tuxedo/tortie kittie named Patzy. (Short for Patches but with a Z to honor the cat who came before her, Izzy who was named after Izzy Stradlin from Guns N Roses. I named all my animals after 80’s rockstars back then.)

      1. And we understand wobbly mommys! My mommy never was coordinated and was the last to be picked for any sports. And she still is the same even though she was born on a Tuesday. You know the old poem that said Tuesday’s child is full of grace? Well, even though my mommy took ballet and modern jazz classes for years as a child, she still is clumsy.

    1. Because they don’t make kitty raincoats, boots and kitty umbrellas. They are starting to make some of those, but kitties are rebellious and don’t want to wear them but you are probably happier to stay inside anyway!

  2. Stinging icy and freezing rain is very bad. Makes the streets all slippery. Regular rain usually warms it up around here to about 40 – 50 degrees Fahrenheit.. still rain but much more warmer and tolerable if you got a hat and a raincoat on. We hardly ever use umbrellas in the Northwest. Only if we ride mass transit because you have to stand awhile in the rain waiting for your bus or train! A hood, hat and rain gear is good to go!
