April Showers bring May Flowers – Or Hooray for Kitty Strollers!

Just a nice comfortable day in the neighborhood. Greeting neighbors and sometimes their dogs! They mostly ignored me though which is good. Mommy insisted this was a perfect photo opportunity at this yard. If this is still April, we have a lot more flowers to look forward to in May and throughout the summer. But stay away from Lilly’s – they are very poisonous to kitties.

However it was time to keep moving as the wind was picking up and it was only about 54 Fahrenheit and the wind was hinting at more rain. The upside is mommy put 1186 steps on her phone app. She is going to try to do this at least 2-3 times a week. She is so tired lately but I think she is not getting enough exercise.

So, yay to the kitty stroller! It helps your mommy’s/daddy’s keep in shape, helps you connect to your neighbors and the fresh air is good for all of you!

This is my life with my new sweetie pie of a tuxedo/tortie kittie named Patzy. (Short for Patches but with a Z to honor the cat who came before her, Izzy who was named after Izzy Stradlin from Guns N Roses. I named all my animals after 80’s rockstars back then.)

    1. My mommy’s son just had his first child and my mommy’s only grandbaby. She’s now 2 months old. His fiancée and I are scheduling stroller rides together this weekend. Baby in one and me in the other stroller. What a better way to bond!!

    1. Oh, we walk on quiet streets and on traffic streets. Mommy tries to keep me more on the side streets but we walk on both. I feel safe in my stroller and so far nobody has ever been nasty to us. People want to meet me! They usually think I am a dog from across the street but they are very nice and curious and have no problem that I am a cat. Who strollers a dog anyway unless they are too old to walk anymore?

Peoples need their exercise and we like the fresh air since I am an indoor kitty. I get bored if I can’t go out once in a while. Think of it as your condo on wheels. Today my mommy’s legs ache a little for getting a couple of nice long walks this weekend but she says it’s worth it. And I have fun too.
      Luvz and happy adventures, Patzy

      2. One thing is that a sturdy stroller is kind of like an old person’s walker in disguise. You can lean on it for support.

I don’t know about you but my mommy pushed me from our walk to the bottom of 5 steps up to the door and I go to the door automatically when she unzips it. I never try to get out once I’m in! (I am scared outside unless I feel safe in my stroller). Or she carries me to the front door. Even though I was found outside I am truly an indoor girl.

But also the strollers have attachments to attach a leash to. If you will wear a harness that fits good you can be attached to the stroller and you cannot run off.

If you only have one step onto your porch it will be super easy to tilt it up to the porch or landing outside your door to get you into the house.

My biggest challenge is finding the right halter. I have a really short neck and am kind of round so I may need specialized fit but mommy hopes not. But I do really well without the leash and halter although mommy wants me to use them!

It is really fun though! We stop and talk to neighbors and most cats and dogs ignore me even when mommy keeps calling them over. Geesh, sometimes she is a pain. 😼. Hope to see you out strollering soon!

      3. I have never tried to get out of the totally zipped in stroller as I am too scared to be Alone outside.

One night last summer I fell out of an open window because the screen was loose. My mommy came looking for me in the middle of the night, about 4am, when she woke up to go potty and I was no where to be found. She walked outside and called me and I came likkity split up the block and practically jumped into her arms. I did NOT want to be out there alone!.
But I am happy in my stroller knowing mommy is right there beside me!

    2. If I lived near you we could start a kitty walking club. You would see that people are more acceptable than you think! Everyone these days wants to try to be just a little healthier and if that means walking a cat in a stroller instead of a dog on a leash they usually go along with it. Exercise is exercise!

    1. Thank you for worrying about us. Mommy’s just working too much and finds it hard to post. Plus it gets frustrating trying to remember our passwords to WordPress blogs vs. other passwords. Why can’t we make them all the same?

Anyway, we are still reading your posts regularly but sometimes get lost while trying to reply.

Luv you guys! Patzy and Miss Juliea

      2. Thank you again. I have a little notebook with passwords but it’s falling apart and I use a coding system too. What gets me is Amazon, Amazon Smile and Audiobooks – all the same company. Companies like that – when I change a password, does it change them all? Sometimes it seems like it does and other times it doesn’t seem to. I’ll have to call them so I can make them all the same. Good hint though.

I used to write my debit card PIN # in code pretending it was someone’s phone number. For example: my “friend” Wanda’s number was 777-2120. I didn’t have a friend named Wanda and 2120 was my PIN # for my old bank account at Washington Mutual (who is no longer in business). This way I could keep it in my wallet for those times I blanked out and couldn’t remember my PIN #.

We luvz you two for thinking of us! Have a great weekend.
